Walt Disney Animation Studio is the only studio in the world right now to have 2D and 3D productions underway! So all you 2D fans who always wonder why they don't make them anymore...There are good things on the way!

When Disney acquired Pixar, they also gained the brilliant minds of John Lasseter and Ed Catmull. John had an idea to revamp Disney a bit. The WDAS logo was changed to resemble more of Walt's original signature and a contemporary new clip featuring Mickey from Steamboat Willy was put front and center. You'll see this at the beginning of WDAS productions.

It makes me very happy because magic continues to happen...whether its the insane talent that fills the building or the lively spirit that energizes its employees, Disney is about to make a comeback!

This is the building I walk into each day. Its kinda crazy and I don't think its real, but then I'm tackled by the security guards for not having my ID out...that's when I realize that its not a dream.

Hello, and welcome to Lake Powell 2008
My name is Tyler and I will guide you through these impressive photographs. So grab a life vest and your baby carrots....

Day 1: Well, we arrived and it was hecka windy. We had to stay in the Marina the first night.

It was no problem for Scotty and Ryan. Someone had packed their foam weapons. They fought till the early morning hours. Disturbing anyone and anything in their path.

Luckily, the women folk could sleep peacefully.

Madi had the right idea...Reading Stephanie Meyer's "Twilight." What better way can Mormon girls corrupt their minds?

The Marina was still a beaute...

The next morning we began our journey to find a beach. Captain Scott lead the voyage. His peculiar appetite and jovial company inspired all crew members.

After finding a secluded region where we could make base camp, crew members began recreational experiments.

Of the first, Beau explained the birds and the bees using the scientific method.

My shipmates and I marked ourselves with the feminine paint our counterparts had left. I assume this would assist in identifying dead bodies if their heads were eaten.

Some even found new techniques in clearing beaches....Burn them! (I do not endorse this but found it rather amusing)

The elders found their joy in new race boats.

Children were taught to hunt at an early age.

Disneyland

For Christmas I decided to surprise my little brother and take him to Disneyland. It was incredible. I booked two plane tickets to LAX and 5 nights in the Anaheim Marriot. We might as well sleep in style right? We went to Disneyland, California Adventure, Rainforest Cafe (my favorite Restaurant) and the beach. Although it was early January, the weather was great!

We took a journey to the beach. We didn't rent a car down there so we took California Transit. And I thought the bus ride from Provo to SL was crazy...There was a busload of diversity the whole way to Balboa. Each stop made it better and better. One man talked my ear off until the bus driver told him to get off. He slammed the brakes and told him to take off. Apparently they knew each other because they exchanged some rather informal words. The ride lasted forever. We arrived just in time to see the sun setting. I tore off my shoes and Scotty just ran out into the waves. I think he realized that was a bad idea when we got back on the hour bus ride. We went out to Rubie's Restaurant on the pier. It was so cool. It totally brought me back to my childhood. I remembered going out to that beach with my grandparents. On the ride home I let Scotty rest his head on my legs. He fell asleep. It was just then that I sat back and thought how grateful I am for my little brother. That Kodak moment quickly vanished when I saw snot rolling out his nostrils all over my pants.

My cousin Chad was down there at the same time. We met together and hit the California Adventure.

Well...If it looks awkward its becuase it was very. I just asked this random Disney Conductor if my little brother could take a picture with him. I think he was surprised because he isn't Pluto or Donald, just a regular worker. Anyhow, they look comfortable together right?

Scotty will be playing the role of Fantasia's Asian Mickey Mouse. (Coming Fall 2008.)

My friends took me out for my birthday! We went to the Pie. Funny story. Ryan decided to light a napkin on fire when we finished eating. To his surprise the napkin burst into flames so he threw it onto Ryan V. Ryan V. just sat there staring at Ryan while it floated down to his lap and burnt his shurt. We all patted it out. Our Waiter promptly asked us to leave and be more courteous to the non-smoking customers.

A very drunk man took this picture. If you spin 10 times before looking at it, you can almost see what he saw. It took some concentration to snap this shot. Seriously, try it!

Do I look like an owl? I think I do.

Yes-that red candle in the middle is what started the fire.

I can't remember this one but it was funny watching the customers faces as we tried to act out the signs for taking Pepto Bismal. From right to left, Heart Burn, Indegestion, and you got it!

Lake Powell is my favorite vacation spot ever. I would take it over just about anything. There is something about it.

My mother and sister tend to get overexcited at times... especially when they steal my camera while the boat is cruising. I look back on moments like these and label them: Worried (while my lense gets tossed around in a moving flotation device).

Buffalo Hunting

I went out to Antelope Island with some friends during the winter. These are some cool shots I got that night.

This is Melina. She is from Brazil. She tried to teach me Portuguese once... but she said I sounded too Mexican. So I'm stickin' with Spanish for now.

I didn't know that Buffalo have a killer 40 foot sprint. They apparently surprise visitors all the time. Luckily the ranger told me before I tried to get a mug shot.

I just like this picture. I took it one night in the Spring. Its right outside of Brigham Square. For those who haven't been to the institution, its right by the sacrificing alter.

The MTC

I was lucky enough to work at the MTC for awhile. This was my first district. I taught spanish to gringos.

The greatest part about this job was that it wasn't a job. It was like serving people everyday. It prevented me from being sad because life is just too good!

This was my last district before I became a tutor. You can learn alot from anyone. you've just got to look for it.

These are my fellow teachers. I don't think I've ever met more inspiring people in my life. Each one has a powerful way of communicating. I love these cats and dogs! They taught me so much!

I don't know what it is with the Mormons but here in Utah they build these white castles all over the place.

So...My dad hired a couple men from Mexico to rock our fireplace (you know, give the house a bit of Parade of Home flare). My mom came in one day and wasn't happy with a couple spots. She naturally voiced her opinion and asked if they could fix it. Well, the next break they took turned into a gettaway. They never came back. They didn't even get their check. My dad and I ended up doing it. He gave me some sweet goggles too.

This is the Vasquez family from Arlington, Texas. They came and stayed with my family for a couple of days while the Mormons had one of their wild get togethers in SLC. The young man on the bottom left (Axel) was one of my investigators and joined shortly after I left.
